WEDDING | brittany + matt

It’s finally here – the full wedding post from Matt and Brittany’s wedding! They tied the knot on April 10, 2010 and I was so honored they chose me to capture their wedding. This was my first experience being the main shooter at a wedding! And wow I was nervous! But these two were so great and patient with me throughout the experience. Plus it helped that they are friends of mine and I had friends surrounding me the entire day! My husband Dustin was even a groomsman! I really couldn’t have hoped for a better first experience. Plus I had the crazy talented Trevor Crosby second shooting for me which also made the day go so smoothly!

This wedding was really fun to shoot too. Brittany has a real eye for details and you will see that in the detailed reception shots. She put together all the centerpieces with things she thrifted and found. She also made her bouquet out of thrifted brooches! How pretty is that?! She made the courtyard beautiful with hanging mason jars, lace fabric panels, and streamers hanging from trees. I loved seeing how it all came together. They also set up a little photobooth for guests which I thought was so fun!

I am so happy for these two. They love the Lord with all their heart and it shows through their actions on a daily basis. You can really tell that their desire is to grow deeper in love with God and with each other. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next! Congratulations Matt and Brittany, you really deserve all the happiness. Thank you for trusting me with your special day!

These photobooth pictures came from Trevor who graciously ran the photobooth for me most of the night.

All the beautiful stationary was done by bridemaid and designer Jamie Wykoff of Julia’s Poppies, my newest Tucsonan friend!

Congratulations Matt and Brittany!!
